Week 9

Week 9 - 12/12/16 9:00am
Keeley has finally completed the script and as a group we reviewed it. We discussed the teams and who should be in what team. We also thought about the different type of commercials that we can. Our final choice was Musical.ly Ad. Berfin came up with the idea of adding a 10 second of thought from each other after the first round. Zak also had the idea of adding see you after break.

Meeting Footage


Week 8

Week 8 - 07/12/16 11:40am
Finally, the script has been completed so as group we read and discussed the script and the error that has been made. As the script was really short half of the team was confused so we decided to make a point system and finalised the three games included in the show. We also discussed our job roles in the production.

Round 1 - Meme Challenge (3 rounds of images/video create a meme for then upload to instagram for likes, most likes wins)
Round 2 - Snapchat Stories (60 second story using selected theme, filters. Audience pick most funny - watch on phones/TV MONITOR)
Round 3 - Music.ly challenge both teams create 30 sec vid of the themed song 'All I Want For Christmas' Mariah Carey. Voting is the same.

Today as a group we had a discussion on the script, we also chose the three songs that would be played during our Social Challenge. There were disputes to what the whole concept around the Social Challenge game was about. We managed to find alternative game solutions and come to a conclusion.

Today in class I spoke to Zak about the shot list i then took a picture and have now started on my storyboard.

Meetings week 2

We had our second meeting where we discuss our TV show and the different types of close we can use and includes in our show. For an example,we liked the idea of having close up of the iPad in the show and most likely we will need to pre-record these clips and insert them on the production day.

This was our first meeting as a group. We discussed what the content of the show was and how we can set up the TV room for it. Overall, we plan what each role was and what had to be done for it.

my idea is to use social media to create a game show, there will be two teams of three and each team will compete to create funny and creative images and videos using social sites such as snapchat, tumblr and music.ly. the ages will range from 15-25 and the watershed will be from 9:30pm.

Meetings

In our most current meetings we put our emails on a piece of paper, where Keely then added us to a project folder on Google slides, this allows us to individually post and also access all the pre production documentations that our group puts up. After this we made a start on our pre production roles.

In our group we updated the roles in our groups in order to equally share out the work, I still had the same roles which were the storyboard and the Risk assessment, However Dimitar isn't in our group anymore therefore i will need to consult with Dani who is now the set designer for the risk assessment.


First day in the studio

The first day in the studio went well as we learnt to familiarise ourselves with the equipment, space, and the different roles in the control room and on the set. Tom the technician gave us a description of the equipment and what it was used for, for example we learnt how to operate the cameras and how to utilise the visual mixer in the control room. We then allocated roles in side the control room and also on the set.

Tom handed me headphones with a mic, where i also had a device in which i was able to change the volume,  my role on set was the floor manager, which i think i handled well as i was able to multitask by talking to the people in the control room as well as sending information back to the production crew on set.
I had to work closely with Berfin, Timmy, and Jacira who were camera operators, i needed to ensure that the shots that the director (Tim) in the control wanted, was being taken. I had to work closely especially with Jacira as she did not have any access to headphones, so she wasn't able to hear anything in the control room , my role was to tell her to switch to different shots. 

when switching roles in the control room my job role was to help my team member on the sound and visual mixer, i felt that i was more effective working as the floor manager, as i didn't really do anything in the control room.

First meeting


In our first group meeting we allocated roles within our group and shared out the tasks accordingly. My role is to complete a risk assessment and produce a storyboard, i will need to work alongside with Zak as he is producing the shot list, also when completing the risk assessment i will need to liaise with Dimitar who is the set designer in order to know where the props are set on the stage. This will enable me to find out the possible risks.

Pitch Ideas- Sound Buzz










My production idea is mainly based around a game show, the name of the production is `Sound Buzz' this name was conducted from the initial idea of game show.
The game consists of two family and friends separated in groups of 6, one of the components wear headphones where they listen to a verse of a song. The same person has to explain to the other players of what song and artist they are talking about, however they are not allowed to talk and need to act out the song  whilst the other players try to guess what that person is trying to say.
when the teams have figured out the song they have to press a buzzer, and whichever team presses the buzzer first, they win that round.
The target audience for this production would be mostly families and teenagers. There will be no music which has abuse language.
